Sharra, SST's Musical Princess
Graduating
to captaincy while still a young teenager indicates the kind of tenacity
for which Sharra is justifiably renowned. It was in the late summer of
1998 that the Starship Titanic was bowled over by this human whirlwind.
In the time she has been here, she has captured the hearts of the male
captains and out-sung (and out-shouted) every other voice on the Forums.
Sharra is a one-of-a-kind for which, Lord, we are truly thankful.
Still in full-time education, she is now a young woman being wooed strongly
by the hopeful swains in her corner of North America. Her confidence is
legendary, but perhaps no more than you'd expect of a child prodigy. For
Sharra, from a very early age, has shown tremendous personal capabilities
in the areas of music and grand larceny.
Early successes in school productions of Fiddler On The Account
and The Pirates Of Pennsylvania won her a scholarship to the world-famous,
all-girl Trenton Academy of Performing Arts, known locally as ‘Sing-Sing’.
Our first picture here is a recent one, and shows her during her first
court appearance when she successfully persuaded the judge that her presence
in the Hartford Branch of America's 4th National Bank at 2.30am on a Sunday
morning was purely accidental and unrelated to the explosion in the vaults
a few minutes earlier.
In addition to a powerful presence on the Music Vine and featuring in
many regional crime reports, Sharra also works hard here at The Readers
Vine. As Pol
Eddings she edits the newspaper for her group. That is so often a thankless
task, and it is a great credit to her that she has carried out those duties
for some considerable time now. She has, in fact, just recently taken up
the Bulletin Board as well!
Our second picture shows Sharra (highlighted) in a typical school setting.
Here, she is seen late at night in the school dormitory trying to help
one of the younger girls remember what it was she said to a detective about
a certain school project concerning the Hartford Branch of America's 4th
National Bank. She tells us that it took only a
few minutes of gentle persuasion before the girl remembered and, apparently,
it improved her voice, too. She said the girl was soon “singing like a
canary”. What a team player she is, and how lovely that she should help
out a fellow pupil like that.
Sharra is a lovely girl, with a hugely funny sense of humour,
and a really soft and warm heart. She is genuinely one of SST's most popular
characters and, hopefully, will spend many more years with us yet, and
always as our Carnival Princess.
So, what is that people say about her?
Marsinta Drewbish: “A girl after my own heart, I just love the
way she plays with people, like a cat with a mouse. Heh heh, attagirl!”
Leonardo DiCaprio: “She is so gorgeous, isn't she? Like there
never was anyone else who could make my heart skip beats except for her.
I wish she'd answer my calls.”
WordSmith: “Aaaaaaarrrrggghhh!!!!!!”
Theo Caulapolis, Chief of Trenton Constabulary: “We look forward
to the day when she graduates. It will be a major milestone in our town's
history.”
Dame Kiri Te Kanawa: “Did you say Sharra was going to graduate
soon? Oh no, wait, we must warn the world's opera companies. They will
need time to prepare. There are things to do, doors to lock and windows
to shutter! We must act quickly.”
