I would like to know if Vista works for the older games too. I have several I would like to play again including SST. I've been thinking about buying an older computer with Win2000 still on it.

New XP Service Pack.

Post by Ravyng, 25.08.2008, 01:28:

I notice that there is a new SP3 out for Windows XP. Okay, it's been ages since I played Starship Titanic, and I wonder if I will again, but I remember that it was when SP2 came out that the game stopped working, even when I set the Win95 emulation mode. However, someone said that the fix was to save the ICCVID.DLL file from SP1, and restore it. Has anyone checked if that still works?

How about Vista? Has anyone successfully played ST on that?

Hello, Ed!

Reply from BlondieGalaxy, 24.02.2008, 21:51:

I wasn't meaning you..lol..
I have deleted several spam messages in the last few days. It was to them I was speaking. I almost posted their names but decided not to give them that much recognition. One had a link that tied up my browser and I had to do a hard shut down to get rid of it. The others had links to gambling and porno sites. :surprised:

Not many post here now, but I think a lot still pass through. The memories linger on for us. I still read the other site too..lol..a lot of fun memories there. My memory may be selective..lol.. ;) because I only remember the good times. Selective memory is a way of holding onto the things we love, the things we are, the things we never want to lose.

I know you have been very busy with work, but I have really missed you. The cafe isn't the same without hearing from you once in awhile. :-)

In Memory

Reply from Rhube, 08.01.2008, 20:14:

Good Lord. I just stumbled across this place... hello. Anyone remember me?

I was just randomly googling... ok, I was ego-googling just to see what turned up. And I came across an archive of posts from the old days. Talk about a blast from the past. Almost made me well up, thinking about it. I've never been in such a nice, welcoming community since then. Then I clicked the link that took me here.

So yeah - hi *waves* thanks for the memories.

In Memory

Reply from BlondieGalaxy, 10.12.2007, 05:06:

The Starship Titanic game was released in 1998..almost ten years ago. Can it really be that long ago? I was there in the beginning and I don't feel ten years older, well not every day anyway. ;-)

When I think about the first Starship Titanic community time seems to stand still. I couldn't sleep last night so instead of counting sheep I tried counting the names of the original crew. I fell asleep at about 30 names, and I know there were many more that touched my life in some way. Over the years I have thought about some more than others. Some of them I think about on a regular basis, and some I have not thought about in several years.

To all of them, the ones that will pass through this place and share the same memories, I wish their life to be full of love and laughter!
